Foundling Museum
London's Foundling Museum pleasantly surprised me with its poignant history and unexpected ties to composer George Frideric Handel. Nestled in the city's heart, it offers a unique glimpse into the past, unraveling the touching tale of the Foundling Hospital. The blend of classic and modern design creates an inviting ambiance. Handel's role in supporting the hospital, coupled with his handwritten music scores, adds a personal touch. While the exhibits are emotionally resonant, a bit more interactivity would enhance the experience. Nonetheless, this museum is a serene haven that unveils London's past and the intertwined threads of charity and art.

Lady Lever Art Gallery
This is a wonderful collection with so many recognisable old favourites like 'Bubbles' and many interesting surprises. Great sculptures- I particularly liked Leda and the Swan. A worthy rival to the Frick and the Wallace collections.

Gallery Oldham
It's a very interesting building. It is clean, airy, and modern. The gallery is on the upper floor, and once found is easy to navigate. Once found! The art on display is relevant and well selected. Visitors can expect to see something of interest to them personally. When I visited, I was frustrated by two things. Poor signage, and the cafe seemed to be closed to the public (the only notice was a hand written note on the door).I would not want to put anyone off visiting Gallery Oldham, but hand-on-heart I cannot recommend it either.

Really enjoyed the tour of the art museum. So many thoughtfully put together pieces. The booth reminded me of Dr Who and I wonder if maybe the writers maybe based the Tardis on this.

The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace
There are always some treasures of art pieces in royal collections, and you can extend a ticket to one year ticket easily. You don’t need to pay extra for audio guides and cloakroom is free too. Also they provide some small talks everyday in the gallery. If you are interested in the painting skills or fun facts, they have extra rooms exhibiting their research findings.

Really enjoyed my visit, the street was cool to look at and at the time was decorated up for Christmas so was lovely. Unfortunately, we didn't get up to the gallery this time but will definitely try to go back again and check it out.

I took my children to see The last voyage of The Gloucester exhibition which we found very interesting. They did make us aware when we arrived there were lots of parts of the museum closed so be prepared to not see as much as you normally would as you go around. The staff we met around the museum were pleasant and helpful. The coffee shop is limited in what they serve at the same time The food they do serve is really good and the member of staff that served us was a real star, she was very welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. If you are interested in local history definitely check out The last Voyage exhibition. We did find that the lighting needs a bit of improvement in some of the cabinets especially with such small name labels. At the same time if you're not too interested in reading the names it won't be to much of a bother.

Spencer House
We came for the Sunday tour, and loved the excellent guide who took us through the 8 rooms in approx. 1:10, going through the architecture, furniture, artwork, and the house's history.Note that a lot of items are reproductions, and photos are only allowed in two rooms. You need to prebook, though note it's free if you have the Historic Houses membership (email them). Toilets are available onsite, and the woman's in lower ground is fairly ornate. There was one large slight of stairs on the tour, but easy to navigate.
