Bartending school

We had a great time with Alex hosting a cocktail party for a hen party of 16 people over a few hours. He clearly knew his stuff, all drinks we made were really nice and we played some fun games too. He was also very flexible as on the run up to the hen we had to change numbers in which he was accommodating.

Best decision ever made! Had an incredible time during the 4 week international bartender course! Learned a lot and we had amazing field trips to Guinness and Tullamore DEW. The instructors have a lot of knowledge and are very nice.

For anyone who is just interested in cocktails or inexperienced beginner who tries to get into the industry but keep getting rejected, I 100% recommend this course. Manny is such a patient, fun, engaging and experienced teacher! The classes follows theory + practice structure. I definitely love this methodology ( imagine when you go to the bar and you start to talk smart ) I’ve become more confident behind the bar but definitely need to put more effort in remembering the cocktail ingredients _(:зゝ∠)_Bonus part of this course: you got to taste so many stunning cocktails!!

14+ years of bar-tending experience, extensive knowledge and history of a diverse range of spirits and liqueurs, a plethora of classic and contemporary cocktail recipes, the inner workings of a successful bar, flair and all the possible skills needed to become a fantastic bartender. Those who have graduated from LBS will know that the above description doesn't even scratch the surface when it comes to describing what you can take away after four weeks.When it comes to value for money, I'll save you the time of deliberating or guessing if you are going to get what you paid for: 100%. In my opinion the knowledge, contacts, skills, theoretical knowledge and the experience of the course itself greatly exceeds what is definitely a very modest price.Vince is a phenomenal teacher who manages to keep every day of the course fun and entertaining whilst ensuring that the class remains focused. He pushes every single student to give their all and provides the right amount of support and advise when it's needed. Vince constantly reviews the course material and makes any required changes to make sure that everything you learn is completely relevant. The advise you can give is completely invaluable and when you speak to other bartenders, bar managers and GM's around London, you find out how well regarded and respected he is by is contemporaries. Oh... and make sure you listen to the many stories he has - they're brilliant!As well as Vince, you also get the opportunity to learn from some of his former students. Whilst I'm sure a wide range of Vince's students have returned to provide assistance and experiences, for me, I was lucky enough to spend time with Federica, David and Silva - all bar managers! All three had amazing and complementing personalities and like Vince, pushed for you to the best you can.Vince, his former students and they way he structures the LBS makes for an incredibly enjoyable educational experience. I promise you, that the more you put in and the harder you study, the more you get out at the end. Skip the BS (Vince and the gang see right through it), work hard and you'll leave with a greater degree of knowledge and skills than some bartenders who have spent years behind a bar!If Vince ever decided to add any further courses to LBS, I'd sign up in a flash!

Honestly by far one of the most amazing experiences of my life. In just 4 weeks I made friends for life, learnt so much more then I expected and became so much more confident behind the bar. The instructors are amazing, they always want to help and are obviously very passionate about their job. Recommend the course to everyone, even if your not a bartender there is always time to learn :D

Very comprehensive mixology and bartending course. Good mix of theory and practical - half the day is classroom learning about spirits, liquors, mixers etc, how to balance flavours and cocktail styles / families, plus some bar management, and afternoon is practice - cocktail making techniques, learning 26 cocktails overall and varieties.Teacher Emanuele is energetic and engaging and will keep you improving!

Shake the Spirit were wonderful at our wedding party at Whatton House. Alex in particular was a pleasure to work with and listened to all our requests and felt like a friend ok the day. Would recommend!

Not only do the cocktails taste great, the way the bar was made to look, the professional dress and most importantly the amazing flairing, turned our party into an amazing event that absolutely thrilled our guests. Honestly the best party entertainment by far.

Not only was Alex an excellent bar man and cocktail connoisseur along with his very professional team, he was lots lots more!!-fire starter, favour maker, nerve calmer, advice giver (that we must do a first dance) and a very good mic dropper! Super fun course. Exceeded my expectations. It's a lot to study but 100% worth it and you still got time to explore amsterdam. All the instructors are amazing, knowledgeable and helpful.
