All Care (GB) Ltd
Hi my name is pippa I am writing about my experience with a company called all care I been with them for just over 2 months now and in my folder it sead light house work jobs like washing up hoovering putting a wash on and hanging it out some do and some say it's not in there job to do that so I have to struggle to do it myself witch it's not easy for me to do cos I am a double amputated and permanently in a wheelchair so it's very hard for me to manage there is one man care that always turns up very early like the outher day he turned up 2hr and 45 minutes early for my breakfast call and he comes in on his own and does not wait for the female care to come I so don't feel happy with that and his attitude towards me is not very nice and when I kneed personal care he does nuthing to help the female care I have brought this up with the management of all care on several occasions and asked them not to have him look arfter any more but he still does and tonight the 3rd of June 23 my bed time call was at 7pm and they never showed up at all so I will be left with out care for 17hrs so to me that is the last straw so please think very hard hard with going with all care cos my name for them is all no care.

Balhousie Forth View Care Home
I haven't visited here but the Care Home is on the street where I live and I pass it every day. I have heard from neighbours who have relatives living there, that the residents are really well looked after.

Age Concern
Most of the stuff is well over priced. Across the road books are 3 for 75p in Age Concern £1 for one... as an example. Some of their clothing is dearer than buying it new in town. It is certainly very clean and the staff are polite and pleasant though one of them wears perfume similar to fly spray which can catch in the throat. We tend to go in just to see how 'shocked' we can be by the price of a second hand sofa, we actually buy elsewhere...

The Esland Group
I worked for oracle then it was taken over by Esland. At first it wasn’t good. You had people that wanted the best for young people and then investors who wanted a return on their investment. This meant the emphasis on kids in beds houses full. This lead to matching not being good. Staff teams being burned out. And we lost a lot of good carers. So I understand some of the bad reviews on indeed etc. but being honest this balance between caring for kids and running a business is the same problem for most companies.I still work for Esland. I can honestly say things have changed they have learned that filling beds with 2:1 kids might earn money in the short term but does not benefit young people in long term. Nor does it benefit staff teams. And of course the business is affected because of homes closing down and big staff turnover. The ethos is more toward young people and supporting staff teams. The pay is above average. And the Homes and teams are more settled. Training is excellent as Is support for staff. So if you are thinking of working with young people then give Esland a try. And see for yourself the positive outcomes. I work in the Cheshire east and Staffordshire area and all the homes have great ofsted ratings now.

The Caring Company Rutland Ltd
Quite simply, the Caring Company Rutland went above and beyond when we requested support in the last few weeks of my mother's life. Carole the manager came out to meet mum, and us as a family, and was very thorough in her assessment. She listened carefully to mum's situation, asked many questions, gave us all plenty of opportunity to find out what we needed to know and was very clear and honest with us all, enabling us to realise that this was the team that mum wanted (and needed) to support her during a very fragile and emotional time. The team that came out to us was superb, with a minimum number of different faces which enabled mum to build relationships with the same team members and also ensured they all knew mum's specific needs. The raport they built with mum was second to none - it was obvious that she was pleased to see them too. The care was excellent - mum was treated with respect and dignity and she was always included at the centre of any conversation - whether in a chatty way or professionally. A clear care plan was followed to the letter, updated regularly, and discussed thoroughly with the visiting district nurses - to the point that they worked closely as a team to ensure medical as well as personal care could happen at the same time which ensured that mum was kept as comfortable as possible which was hugely appreciated by us all.The team came into its own one day out of the blue when two air mattresses failed one after the other - mum was completely bedbound by this point. An emergency call to Carole ensured that two of the carers stayed for many more hours than were booked in, and Carole rearranged the other care rotas around this critical situation. Without the support of those wonderful ladies we would have needed to call for an ambulance or even fire service as emergency services were so severely stretched due to Covid. Either of those options could have taken hours longer being a 'non-emergency' situation, despite the urgency of our need. We were all shattered by the end of such a hard and physically demanding day but the positivity and good humour didn't waver. We could not have managed without that support, everyone was absolutely brilliant and Carol was in contact with us regularly to find out how things were and made calls on our behalf to chase the services who were responsible for the equipment. I genuinely don't know what would have happened that day without each of the individuals involved - we will be forever grateful for such a caring and tightknit team.We cannot recommend this company highly enough, and would strongly urge anyone to call Carole if you are looking for an empathetic, professional and dependable care team to support you during the most vulnerable of times. And if anyone is considering a role as a carer I would strongly recommend this as the team to join, learn from the best.
