Went on 9 Oct 23. There was a Q till the outside but process was efficient. Arrived at 9.20am and out by 10am. Security and bank staff were polite and tried their best to facilitate where they could.

The guy running this shop is incredibly rude!! After ample times waiting for staff for over half an hour in the PO, I will not be using this place again! He needs some customer service training

Free to visit the Bank of England museum and really interesting to see how the banking system and use of money evolved in England. You can pick up a solid gold bar and see how the bank notes are printed as well as learn about how the banking system came about.

One staff member was very polite however, the staff behind the counter were not willing to help me at all.The bank created and circulated a new £50 and demanded the public to replace their old ones. I had a few of these as savings and was informed that I could only change £200 at a time at a bank or post office. I wasn't interested in making 20+ trips to different post offices and banks I realised the BOE can change them all for me.All I needed was some proof of who I was, Driver Licence or Passport. Which is acceptable.I showed the Lady the money, she asked for my passport, driver licence and proof of where/who I got my cash from....I said I was changing these for my Mother (who was with me) and that she got it as a gift from an elderly gentleman who she helped after he died. She was having none of that and asked for a written letter from the deceased as proof that he had given the money....Complete lack of common sense and a policy where you can't even get your money replaced after they change it.Oh, but they are happy to pay it into your bank account no questions asked. Very strange policy.

If your notes are recent enough to change in a post office, do that to avoid an unpleasant experience. The wait to change notes is 1h+ because each person takes 7-10 min and only 1 clerk is working. Security guards shout at visitors and can even shove you. You must sit on a stone bench and aren’t allowed to stand. You must fill your personal details on paper, every step is very inefficient.

I try to support new local businesses, but... I'm surprised I even have to say this... you have to have something of worth to offer the customer. As an immigrant, I'm not familiar with all the laws of the UK, but surely there must be some kind of laws or regulations to prevent businesses like this from existing, as it's a cancer on the community.

The owners general demeanour comes through epically in this failure of a business. Quality? Doesn’t even like the chocolates. Value? Smashes vases for fun - doesn’t compute. Professional? Professes poor service. And I doubt they’ll respond to this smashing review.

the central bank is doing nothing about credit unions that continue to hold virtual AGM's. A measure that was allowed by rule change to enable credit unions to hold their AGM now covid is over we are stuck with this, Directors escape examination and the members have now lost their rights the bank will live to regret this undemocratic process
