I greatly enjoyed working with the educate group. It’s a fantastic way of boosting confidence especially as you are put in different schools and classes. You gain lots of experience and get to work with a variety of different age ranges. Educate are very flexible and understanding and would always answer any questions or queries. On my first day I had a lovely phone call from them asking me how my day was and if I enjoyed it. Was a lovely little touch! I hadn’t been with them long as a permanent position came up, but I would definitely recommend the educate group to anyone who’s passion is working with children. I have developed many more skills and experience and it gave me a confidence boost, especially when I didn’t work for quite some time due to Covid. It helped me get some routine back and I also made friends on the job! I loved it very much. The team will always try and find some work for you the best they can and ask for your availability each week. The only thing I can say is it is ideal to drive for this job, as may be a struggle for some people who don’t and have to rely on public transport etc to get to the different schools. Luckily they are understanding and do try and keep you locally though so the schools are easy to get to, which is really good! The school I was put in I ended up being in for a few months! So I became permanent for a little while until the teacher came back. So I got to develop a relationship with the children and staff which made me feel comfortable and everyone was friendly and welcoming.

The Cambridge Soft Play Company are brilliant! We've used them for our son's 1st and 2nd birthdays and everything is set up promptly and looks amazing after. The toddlers love the mix of soft play, ball pits, climbing frames and soft toys! Will definitely be booking again for his 3rd birthday!

A secured children home indeed. Such a place to make children secured and reorientated towards becoming responsible adults.

I use to live here back in the 90s not going to lie i hated every moment of it it wasnt alla secure unit though my unit was called oral house looks like been bulldozed now from what pictures iv seen .bit sat really but such as life i guess often i think of when i lived here wasnt all bad i guess but wasnt the best time of my life yano .love to get intouch with some the girls who were there back in 1996/1997

Excellent place

Brilliant support provided for young people and top quality staff

I was the third young person to move into this placement and I’ve been in care for a very long time this was one of the worst, they put on an absolute act for ofsted and reg 44. They had no clue what they were doing it was like a circus the staff were all over the place and management were awful and unethical. If you are considering to place a child here you should think again, a lot happens behind closed doors and they are very good at covering it all up. It amazes me that they are even still open the directors of the company are money hungry and profit driven. The best interests of the residents were never taken into account. Stay as far away from this place as possible.

If you love your family please don't let them go here the care is shocking and people who are abuseres get promoted
