Even if you don't think their whisky is the best on Islay no doubt the tour is! Very informative. They are now part of the LVMH family so I expect we'll hear more about them over time.

Scapa Distillery Visitor Centre
I had the worst time working with the staff of this distillery. I emailed in plenty of time to ask for the opportunity to visit a special tasting room they opened recently and taste some of the special reserve bottles (in the hopes to buying a few!) and the email back from the manager confirmed I’d be able to access the room and experience as a previous tour was finishing as we arrived so it seemed like everything was set up! However, when I got there the manager forgot that she spoke to me and she said they are very rigid in keeping to the tour times and will not be flexible for travelers to allow me access to the room or try any of the reserve tastings that I paid extra for. I think this is a bad business model with so much tourism in Orkney, to not be flexible enough to work with visitors who plan in advance and ask politely for help so the can maximize on experiencing their business! I happily paid for more access but instead of getting the experience I had hoped for, I was refunded and sent away due to her inability to articulate the logistics of her tour services. I had to explain to my entire tour group and my family that I was rejected and it was so embarrassing and upsetting. I don’t know how complicated it would have been, pouring a few more things for me to taste and letting me into a room for a minute to enjoy the craftsmanship and the view.

Buy their gin! Stumbled into this place, by complete accident while exploring Corris. I enjoyed Gin at the time but never knew it could be that good, that I wouldn't want to mix anything with it.Going to have some sent to my Welsh workmates relys, so he bring it back to Australia.I'll definitely visit again.

The Distillery
Understaffed and no customer service from beginning to end.Despite booking in advanced and explained what the special occasion was (and have been very good customers in the past) there were not only any acknowledgements but no service. We had to grab their attention constantly, they forgot some of the food (side order) which came when all the other dishes were long gone.It felt they don’t care about customers being in such a busy tourist spot so for the locals/Londoners will not be a destination for sure.I am giving 2 stars as the food was nice.

Just off the main road in a secluded wee cove. We stopped here a few weeks ago for a change of scenery as my tour guests were wanting a change from the meals in a nearby hotel. The bar manager was able to squeeze us in despite being very busy that evening. We were very grateful and after dinner you can have a beer and a wander down to the pier for an amazing view

GREAT EXPERIENCE. Our “make your own gin” event was amazing. Supposed to be 2 hours; lasted 3 hours with our group of 6. Tasted a few different flavors then got to make our own and bring home a 700ml bottle. Max was so much fun and informative. HIGHLY recommend it!!!!
