Wonderful place well worth a visit any day, but fewer stalls are open on Monday. Split over 2 levels each with a stepfree access. Free toilets on upper level. 5 mins walk from free main car park near, known as, Morrisons car park. Also small free car park adjacent to The Mercantile Club at otherside of small road at opposite side of market. The nearest car park outside old Wilkos is NOT free. The cafe has reopened under new management. Market is more or less in the centre of a plentiful choice of small mostly independent shops, several pharmay outlets. Complemented by shops on and around Queen Street.

Lovely market. The pies and scones bought from same stall were amazing as was the pepper and tomato chutney. The couple on the bookstall gave us lots of local information about places to visit. Apparently the day we visited it was smaller than usual so must definitely return.

Lovely food, servers could do with smiling a bit more (makes you wonder about their working conditions), but what they've done to the market is a travesty. An example of Middle class hipster twonks running the council. Its popularity does not excuse it.

Good honest coffee with London charm. This street food style cafe is a Soho stalwart and a firm favorite for locals and visitors alike.

A very Happy Valley. Atmospheric market with the best fish stall around. Paul's fresh fish. The queue was 13 deep.

If you love crowds and madness go for weekends. Else stick to the weekdays. This place is heaven for food lovers. Varieties of stalls for each delicacy. Abundance of food specially the non-veg sections. Roam around and try them as much as your tummy can take.
