I have used Prestige Plating for around 30 years on various motorcycle and car restorations, most recently on a jaguar Mk 2 and on a Jaguar E type which both have lots of chrome. I have ALWAYS found them trustworthy and professional,they provide a high quality finish and service, and have never mislaid a single item in all that time. They do have a no nonsense approach and don't like ill informed people questioning their advice, but I would not trust anyone else as much. with my chrome parts.Arthur Lawrence, Oldcotes. Notts

After looking at his work on his website and social media, and initial contact I foolishly thought I had found the right person to entrust the refurbishment of my alloy wheels for my classic car. I dropped them off in September 2021, and given an estimated time of 2 to 3 weeks. At first all seemed well, as messages back and forth regards getting the correct colour code information for the centre sections of the wheels gave me a sense of progress.I next made contact asking for a progress report after a month, and was given the excuse that some of the other jobs had taken a bit longer to finish but he should get onto mine by the end of the week.I next made contact in the second week of January 22, in the hope I had definitely given him enough time, but he told me that he'd not been too well recently. Again I gave him the benefit of doubt.I then waited 6 weeks before messaging him again, but this time I didn't receive a response. So I visited in person, he promised to start working on them the next day.Again I gave him around 5 weeks before messaging him, and again no response.I would like to think that I have been more than generous with him but, I finally visited and collected my wheels, only to find that after 6 to 7 months the only work had been done was they had been chemically striped. They look in a worst state than when I dropped them off.A complete waste of time, my advice is to go somewhere else.
