The Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial site in England, 30.5 acres in total, was donated by the University of Cambridge. It lies on a slope with the west and south sides framed by woodland. The cemetery contains the remains of 3,811 of our war dead; 5,127 names are recorded on the Walls of the Missing. Rosettes mark the names of those since recovered and identified. Most died in the Battle of the Atlantic or in the strategic air bombardment of northwest Europe.

Kilchoman CWGS Cemetery - victims of the Otranto 1918
A wild place on a windy and rainy October day 2022. As nothing compared to 104 years before. Peace and love.

Why is this cemetery still opening at 2pm when the other cemetery in Birmingham arec opening at 10am it makes no sense, apart from more people are trying to get in as soon as it opens making it over crowded especially at the entrance. either leave the times as it was or open it at 10am to at least ease the crowd. The cemetery was never crowded before the lockdown, you use to be able to visit at anytime and it was quiet. Now there's more people then ever trying to get in especially as you only open for a couple of hours in the day (what a joke). What is the reason, is it because its a multicultural cemetery? And ethnic people are supposedly at a higher risk? If so well done thanks.

Brookwood Military Cemetery
Beautifully maintained grounds. Just so many young men are buried there, and some so far from their home. A tragedy of war and so very, very sad. I'm glad that I visited and thankful for their sacrifice.

Ok, place overall. But need clearer marking into a subdivision of the cemetery( like a grid)- so graves can be easily located in a section. Some graves need attention to repair their structure so don't further deteriorate. Some families of the deceased will also have passed away or surviving members moved to other cities and countries.A charitable trust should be set up to deal with graves of deceased whose relatives can not be reached. With the proviso that money spent from the charitable funds can be reimbursed or paid back in due course.

Worth visiting, it is huge. There are more than 1000 soldiers buried here, including a few german ones.

Well-kept and tranquil space sloping down to the Holly Brook in suburban Southampton. It has a chapel at its centre and contains the Hollybrook Memorial for Commonwealth servicemen and women with no known grave.

The crosses were recycled for new ones in late 2014.
