Really fun to go on the mini trains! Everyone working here looks like they’re enjoying themselves, and it shows in all the small ways they take care of kids and adults. Waving when waved at, asking for tickets with a smile, and generally being nice and friendly! Would happily come again!

Had a great time on January the 7th at the diesel gala , it was great to be joined by some of my former Irish Rail colleagues. It marked 12 months since I retired from Irish Rail. The amount of work the staff put in here should never be underestimated and the welcome we get here from the volunteers who are now our friends one can never forget. Well done to all concerned and continued success.

Had a great day there, saw lots of interesting model trains, boats, planes, tanks, all sorts of layouts and displays; the train ride was also much enjoyed by our 10 year old and adults. Super Buffet Car, well worth a visit. Lucky with lovely weather, cloudy, dry, no rain.

Went on the elf explorer was really good. My son absolutely loved it. He loves trains and we love the steam trains. Parking isn't brilliant we parked on a side street. Got given a few car parks to use which was confusing me when said walking distance but was 1.7 miles away which is fine if not slippy. The grotto was nice and loved the little extras. Food was OK but not the best. On the train we loved the elfs singing but thought would be better if the kids knew the songs so they could join in. Santa was good and crackers and things on the table were nice little extra. I would go again

Amazed at how wonderful this little place is for young families and train fans.3 different train rides, warm cafe with good menu options and a little play corner. Train sets on display and buttons to press.Improvements would be to the outside play area and a separate coffee stand/carriage for outside picnic area (for speed)

If I could give 6 stars it wouldn't be enough. This museum is more than just an attraction..It's a labour of love for many enthusiasts that make you feel so welcome coming into their domain. We were lucky enough to come when there was a steam festival. You can smell the history. What a place!

A great day at the Easter Eggspress. A little hidden gem in Downpatrick that I had never visited before despite growing up in the area. My husband and son were here on St. Patrick's Day and loved it so we will be back for more events soon!
