I cannot rate this company highly enough. When working on one of their products, I ran out of wool. I contacted them for further supplies and these were sent to me FREE OF CHARGE, without even a charge for postage. I offered to pay, but they said they were just pleased to help and wished me a Happy Christmas! How lovely is that?

I visited the shop as a tourist in town. Very friendly environment, with a great selection of British yarn. I will definitely visit again if I return to Edinburgh.

Great place for the desired items. Staff were very nice and helpful and got everything in I needed for the Mrs. We are now a year down the line and the scarf she's knitting hasn't got past an inch long yet.

As someone who got taught by my grandmother back in the 70's (a scarf and knitted tie!) I've always admired the art.... So when Sharon opened I thought I would give it another go! Sharon gave great advice and is there to support you too. I made a scarf as a gift for someone that got appreciated more than a bought gift, and that made me feel really great! Great space, great shop, great owner! Thanks Sharon.... (Ps. Now onto scarf number 2!! lol)

Ewe & Yarn
This is my local yarn shop and I love it. I'm in most weeks buying something new, Sharon is so friendly and helpful. There is a good mix of yarns so you can get the low budget yarns right up to the hand dyed skeins. Would highly recommend. Thanks Sharon!

I found the shop very friendly and helpful,. I gave some ideas of what I was interested in and they showed me different ideas of yarn. Even though we were in difficult times they were friendly and upbeat.

Ann Louise and Thistle Wool Shop
My mum and I popped in to pick up some new wool for a couple of Christmas hats she was making and the selection was amazing. Considering the size of the store they have managed to pack in soo much without it seeming cluttered or disorganised. When we couldn’t quite decide the lady’s who run the store where very helpful and also had some stock in the back to add to the selection. If you are the kind of person who likes to look at/ feel your wool before for purchase I would definitely recommend coming here. The prices seemed reasonable as well so a win win.

Kathy's Knits
Really lovely shop. I was on a mission to find Scottish yarn to take home with me. Kathy the owner was so sweet and knowledgeable. She helped me choose some beautiful wool yarn from New Lanark Mills that I hope to soon knit into a winter shawl. It’ll be the perfect souvenir from my visit to Edinburgh.
