Top place, great shisha. 11/10 service. Open till late as a Bonus.

Bought a screen protector, so called 'glass'. I put it on my phone screen (and found it to be a thin plastic) and it cracked immediately.. although I didn't drop or even barely touch the screen protector. Thinking it had cracked my phone screen too, I went back to the shop, where the lady working there attempted to take thesmashed screen protector off , and when she did, asked me if I wanted to put it in the bin.No refund or replacement was offered, complete waste of money, time and effort.

Best shisha in the area. Amazing German flavours that will knock you for six!Must try flavours, one shisha spot in the North West doing them.Great staff, great service. Would 100% recommend, I will definitely be going back again (and again)!

Very good Shisha, nice outdoor seating and vibe inside was great with TVs and entertainment (PlayStations, arcade games and a pool table).

Random Encounter is amazing. It is like my second home! The atmosphere is really lovely and friendly and I feel totally comfortable there even when I am having a bad mental health day (when I don't usually like leaving the house!)They sell such great things there (Ellen one of the owners is a fantastic illustrator and sells her own comics, merch and pet portraits there amongst other stock.... would definitely recommend looking at her things when you are there!) and run cool events too (I go to the art club and can confirm that is a lovely group to attend, even if you don't know anyone before going).The coffee is amazing and there are lots of great food options (including vegan options which is appreciated when I go out for lunch with pals who are vegan). They also have such an awesome selection of board games and video games that you can play (my partner and I have really enjoyed battling each other at the board games previously!)Wes and Ellen (the owners) are such lovely people and it's always nice to go in and chat to them about their cat (there aren't any other cafes in York where I have gotten to know the owners so well and feel comfortable and safe just chatting to them about anything).Overall it is just such a great little café, with such a unique and safe environment- I would definitely recommend it to anyone (and frequently do!)

If you don't know what a great Shisha actually is then you haven't tried Levels. Excellent Shisha Lounge.

As an oap, staff seemed age-ist.......piss taking sfb's(s**t for brains) would not give them even one star,but needed to access comments.What happened to patient,helpful,pleasant staff from the old shop........ ???

Good atmosphere staff are very professional.best shisha flavours I've tasted good range of snacks and drinks .. would highly recommend this place for a chilled night.
