My daughter recently joined Wessex Volleyball Club. She has been made to be feel very welcome, communication is fabulous and more importantly she’s really enjoying it and already feeling part of the team.

Came down for a weekend for a weekend training camp, it was one of the best coaching experience I had.Denise and Sam went through the basics, and we used some game based drills to practice the techniques, which helped and allow me to understand how to execute those skills.It was fun packed training that we have to work hard! No pain no gain hey?!I am definitely going to visit and join one of the trainings again! Thank you, Denise, Sam and beach volleyball school!

Denise Austin is one of the best coaches I’ve met. So much expertise and she knows how to make each session exhausting, insightful, challenging, memorable, and full of learning that sticks.

Having the experience of being a Wessex Volleyball Club member coming up through the junior setup - I had some of my best memories playing sport with new friends made in a fun and encouraging environment.Returning to the club having been away for four years at university, that hadn't changed. I immediately felt welcome and looked forward to training and matches with the Super League team and Local League teams alike.I would encourage anyone, young or old, no matter your experience level or if you're looking for serious competition or just a social game; give Wessex Volleyball Club the chance to show you what fun you can have!

Wessex is a volleyball club which consists of many teams allowing different age and abilities to participate in indoor and beach volleyball. From midweek local league, regional tournaments and national league, Wessex has been represented at all levels including the Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Players can play for fun and fitness or nurture ambitions to play at the highest level. The coaches all have the relevant coaching skills and accreditations to help everyone achieve their individual ambition in a fun and relaxed environment. It’s a great sport to watch and being close to the action creates an exciting atmosphere. Many volunteers provide the much needed support to enable the players to participate and it’s very rewarding to do so. So, if you are a keen to give it a go, want to develop and play at a higher level or can volunteer in some capacity, why not contact the club. I have been involved for over 10 years and love the sport and the people.

I joined Wessex around 9 years ago, the open and friendly environment but yet facilitating some of the best athletes in the country has made me stay. Offering an opportunity for people to be active and involved in something bigger, across all age groups and levels! Can't recommend them enough!

My son, aged 12, joined a few months ago. He is now absolutely hooked on volleyball. He had no prior experience, he just liked the idea of volleyball having watched a lot of Japanese anime! The club is extremely welcoming and has great supportive coaching. He has already made quite a few friends and it's most definitely the highlight of his week.
